1. Introduction

NMV ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Reserve Financial Suite desktop application and the website at getreserveapp.in (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. By using Reserve, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

When you create an account or purchase a subscription, we collect your name, email address, and billing information. Payment processing is handled entirely by Razorpay; we do not store your credit card or bank account details on our servers.

2.2 Device Identifiers

For licensing and activation purposes, we generate a hardware identifier (HWID) from your device. This identifier is a one-way cryptographic hash and cannot be used to reverse-engineer your hardware configuration. It is used solely to bind your license to your device.

2.3 Usage Analytics

We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data such as feature usage frequency and error reports. This data contains no personally identifiable information and is used exclusively to improve the application. You may opt out of analytics in the application settings.

2.4 Financial Data

All business and financial data you enter into Reserve (invoices, clients, products, expenses, payments, etc.) is stored exclusively on your local device in an AES-256-GCM encrypted SQLite database. This data is never transmitted to our servers under any circumstances.

  • To validate your software license and prevent unauthorized use
  • To communicate important updates, security patches, and product announcements
  • To respond to your support requests and inquiries

4. Data Storage and Security

Local data: All business data entered into Reserve is encrypted using AES-256-GCM and stored locally on your device. Encryption keys are protected via Windows DPAPI (Data Protection API) and stored in the Windows Credential Manager. We have no access to your local data.

Server-side data: Only account information (email, name, subscription status) and device identifiers are stored on our servers for licensing purposes. Server data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest.

Backups: Reserve provides an encrypted backup feature. Backup files are encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a key derived from your master password. Backups remain on your local device unless you manually move them.

5. Third-Party Services

Razorpay: Payment processing is handled by Razorpay, a PCI DSS Level 1 compliant payment gateway regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. When you make a payment, your transaction details are processed directly by Razorpay under their own privacy policy.

Vercel: Our website (getreserveapp.in) is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect standard web server logs (IP addresses, browser type, pages visited) as part of their hosting service.

Railway: Our API backend is hosted on Railway. All communication between the Reserve application and our API is encrypted via TLS.

6. Your Rights

Under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable Indian data protection regulations, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated personal data
  • Withdraw consent for data processing at any time
  • Receive your personal data in a portable format
  • Lodge a complaint with the appropriate data protection authority

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our servers within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., tax and financial records, which may be retained for up to 7 years). Your local data on your device is entirely under your control and is not affected by account deletion.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on our website and, where possible, by sending a notification through the application. The "Effective date" at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
